LaToya Murchison is a passionate public health advocate, Amazon bestselling author, speaker, and community leader dedicated to empowering others through faith, healing, advocacy, and authentic storytelling. As the founder of the I Am Toya Quiet Storm Initiative, LaToya uses her voice and lived experience to inspire individuals and communities to embrace resilience, overcome adversity, and discover purpose beyond life’s challenges.

Living with HIV and proudly U=U (Undetectable = Untransmittable), LaToya has transformed her personal journey into a platform for education, awareness, and hope. For more than eight years, she has been committed to reducing stigma, promoting health equity, and advocating for individuals affected by HIV, particularly in rural and underserved communities.

LaToya currently serves as Chair of the UNC CARE Community Advisory Board and is a member of several organizations dedicated to improving health outcomes and strengthening communities. She is also a former HIV & Faith Ambassador through the Wake Forest University School of Divinity and continues to bridge the gap between faith, public health, and community engagement.

As host of Toya’s Quiet Storm Connections, LaToya creates meaningful conversations with guests from diverse backgrounds, exploring topics such as healing, leadership, faith, mental wellness, advocacy, entrepreneurship, and personal growth. Through her podcast, books, workshops, and community initiatives, she encourages others to share their stories, embrace their voices, and recognize the power they possess to create change.

Through the Healing, Leadership & Community Connection Initiative and Empowered Voices Through Advocacy, LaToya works to develop new community leaders, strengthen local partnerships, and provide opportunities for individuals to learn, heal, and lead with confidence.
